Let’s go fly a kite…

While we were in Vejers Strand, Mads bought a kite – he had promised Ronja that we would go fly a kite, so of course we had to. And then we waited – and waited – and waited some more… But there was just no wind! Absolutely no wind – and this was by the North Sea, where there is always wind. Several more or less ridiculous attempts were made, but without wind you just don’t get the kite to go “up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear“…

Two days ago, we gave it a try again, and up it went!

The kite

It was quite vivid, and personally I’m new to the kite flying business, but we had lots of fun!

A month ago, I ordered some woven labels for my sewing projects. They arrived at the end of last week. And now you’re probably thinking, that must be because they had to be shipped from Alaska, New Zealand, or the South Pole, but that’s not the case. I ordered them right here in Denmark at Scannex.dk. So, needless to say, I’m not very impressed with the one month delivery time – however, the labels turned out pretty much the way I wanted them to.

 Woven tags

I have been sewing them onto some of the things I already made, and I think it gives them a bit more of a finished look. Also for pants and blouses, it helps Ronja (and everybody else for that matter) know the front from the back, so that’s a side bonus.

Oh, how I love that children still want to fly kits! It is such a simple pleasure. Your labels are great! It will give everything that extra touch.

Your labels are wonderful. I love the woven, rustic look. And yes, it’s so much more fun to sew something into your creations. It makes me happy to see my label each time.

Beautiful labels! My son Peter asked that I sew labels into his clothes that say “This is not the front” to remind him to put his shirts on the right way.

Believe it or not, it took my woven labels six weeks to arrive. Well worth the wait, except that I had to change my name, so now I use them on personal things only. I like the look of your labels.
