Green Day

Visiting Grennesminde Garden Centre

During the weekend the girls and I went to visit an organic garden centre. A good friend of mine works there, and we met up with her and her kids to feed the animals, water everything, and have the children play for a while.

The air inside the greenhouses was hot and moist, and after feeding the sheep, and walking around for a bit, we had water melon and biscuits in one of the gardens. My well-prepared friend had brought apple juice for the children, and she even prepared a cup of fresh mint tea for her and me – mmmmm.

One of the greenhouses is not really being used at the moment, and my friend and another girl have been asked to try and turn it into a café combined with a flower shop, which seems like a brilliant idea.  Even though it has been left alone for a long time, it’s really just enchanting. The grapes are growing wild in one half of the green house, and there is some old cast iron garden furniture in there, which would be beautiful with a bit of paint and some pretty cushions. The project is still in the planning phase, but I can’t wait to see what they’ll do.

Frida was wearing her new flower pants, so I thought I’d show you what they look like on her.  She got sooo tired from the heat, and the company of the other children, so eventually we had to leave to get her home to her nap. Before we headed out I got to pick some flowers to take home from the greenhouses. What a nice way to spend a few hours.

What a lovely way to spend the day! I love Frida’s new pants – they are so cute. The chicken pants are one of my favourites, too. 🙂

Looks like a perfect day! The girls are so lovely.

I’m sure the place is just magical. Did you see any fairies? Wouldn’t a cafe be just perfect there? Please keep us updated so I can live vicariously through you!!

What a lovely place. The girls look like they enjoyed it all.
I’m working on trousers for myself at the moment(first attempt), how I wish that mine could be like Frida’s with an elastic waist. I’m struggling with zips and fasteners!

Oh oh – I really haven’t been very good at answering my comments lately – I’m so sorry!

While I may sometimes reply late, I always read and appreciate every single comment – just want you to know that. So thanks girls! 😉

Kristina – it was so funny when I got your comment – my friend who works in this place – she is Swedish, and her name is Kristina. 😉 Thanks!
