Walking on sunshine

Today was an important day for me. This morning I went to my new workplace in order to sign the contract and spend the day in the company of my new colleagues. I don’t actually start until December 1st, but it was really nice to meet everyone and get a taste of what’s in store for me. This is why I have been so busy for a while – not being able to mention it here. I have been exploring job opportunities, but didn’t want to reveal anything until I had properly quit my old job and signed on with a new company. So I’m going to be working as an Account Manager at Advertising.com – back to working with online marketing, which I’m pretty excited about. I’m going to be part of a new launch in Denmark, and I won’t go into details yet, but I’m looking very much forward to everything!

So what kills me is this:

First tottering step (well, almost)

Frida actually chose TODAY – of all days – to start walking. Can you believe it???? I go away for one lousy day and then she walks??? Mads took Ronja to gymnastics class this afternoon, and while he and Frida were waiting outside the gym, Frida chose to start walking. BOOOHOOOOO…… *sniff*

But hey! She’s walking – and very enthusiastically too! And I’m her biggest fan – though Mads may try to claim that title as well! 🙂 As you can guess, the picture doesn’t show Frida’s first step – this was after I returned home. However, this is Ronja’s first step – 3 years ago almost to the date.

Hug from a fan

Congratulations on the new job! And I can’t believe Frida was so cheeky to take her first steps when you were away. At least she was with her dad! It can be special for him.

Congrats on the walking! Tabitha also just started and to my dismay also chose to really get going on it whilst I was not here. I like your new banner 🙂 And congrats on your new job!

Congrats to your little girl! What a fun milestone!
And congrats on your job too. I hope this doesn’t mean it’ll cut into your beautiful sewing creations….
    I’ll be sad 🙁

Congratulations! She looks quite pleased with herself 🙂

I was lucky that eventhough I was working, I managed to catch my kids’ first steps, though in the case of my son, he started running first.

Well done Frida!! Now you will need eyes in the back of your head! They really start moving when they start walking. Congratulations on your new job – sounds like a wonderfu opportunity for you. What a day you have had.

Your new job sounds like fun – and a launch so soon. Congratulations!

Frida looks very pleased with her new found talent. So sweet.

Your comment on kayaking, I love it! You may want to try it, but you may also find yourself never paddling a canoe again. It’s that much fun.

Thank you so much all! 🙂 You’re right – it was a special thing for Mads to be “the one that was there”. He will be for the next 5-6 months when he’ll be taking over the maternity leave, while I go to work…

Sarah – thanks for the banner compliment – I needed some new pictures! 🙂 I guess Paul was “the one that was there” in Tabitha’s case too, then?

Dana – I sincerely hope I’ll still have time for sewing – I’ll just have to work it in! 😉

Lisa – you are so right – what a day I had!

    Its_Lily – I think I will, sooner or later – try that is! 🙂

    Thanks guys! 🙂

Spændende skridt ud i verden for jer begge.

Tak skal I have! 🙂

Amy – Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😉
