What it’s like to look forward to something for a week – every week!

 Itsy Bitsy Spider

Ronja started attending a gymnastics class two weeks ago. Yesterday she was there for the third time, and she just loves it! From the first time she was there, she has been asking me every day: “Is it today that you’re going to take me to gymnastics?” And I reply: “No Ronja, it takes an entire week of 7 days to get to another Wednesday – they only come one at a time”. It probably goes without saying, that my reply does not make me a popular Mom.

I think it’s an extra bonus for her, that it takes place in the school she will be attending in a few years, which makes her feel – kind of – a teeny bit – like a school girl. And Ronja loves feeling bigger than she is.

About to jump

Yesterday I put a trump on, when I had bought her a leotard and a new pair of leggings – she practically screamed with joy when she saw it! (I know, I ought to sew those things, but I’m just not a “knits-person”!) At the same time, Ronja’s very good friend Emma started yesterday to attend the same class.

I’m telling you, that girl was walking on air, surrounded by pink clouds! 🙂

She loves it!

    Ihh, så nuttet!

Det varmer en gammel gymnasts hjerte, at gymnastikken stadig kan få så stor glæde frem. Hold da op det vækker minder;-)

Håber hun skal med til forårsopvisning, så kommer jeg og kigger.

Oh yes, you made me very happy again today. When my daughter was 3 she started “ballet”, she carried her leg warmers and leotard with her just in case all week long!! Too cute, love the leotard and those pants are very sweet-nice job!!!

Rikke – Stor glæde, det bringer det i hvert fald! Jeg tror nok, at der er en eller anden opvising, hun skal til – men har ikke helt styr på det endnu… 😉

Teri – I thought the leotard was really nice too – and I like the fact that it is not ALL pink… 😉

    Mirre – thanks! 🙂

Rikki – How old is your daughter now? I don’t think we have ballet anywhere around here, but I’m sure that would score even higher on the adorable-scale… Thanks! 😉

    Lisa – Thank you! 🙂

Amy – the leotard is a Danish brand that’s called BombiBitt – you can read about them here. If you’re serious, I would be glad to run an errand for you, and ship it on over!

Lisa – I’m sure she did! And I’m glad to know I’m not the only “not knits-person” out there… 🙂

    Hi Astrid,
that last photo of Ronja is so beautiful! Don’t feel bad about buying the leotard! I bought Tabitha the simplest knit dress this week and though it was cheap I kept thinking “This seems like the sort of thing I ought to be able to make.”

    Hi Astrid,
I commented some time ago on your post about the ottobre pants with the round corners. You inspired me to make a green one. And since you asked for a photo: I took my first steps on Flickr and just sent them to the group. So if you still are curious, take a look there.
And I so like the pictures of Ronja.
    Greetings, Ria
