Passport photo of a baby

As some of you already know, we’re going to Amsterdam a bit later this summer, because my brother and his wife – great wedding photos in that set, by the way – are having a baby. So, Frida will have to have a passport, and in order for that to happen, she is going to need a photo for that passport.

So I spent some time yesterday trying to get a photo of Frida, that would be fit for a passport – and I probably don’t have to tell you, they’ve got quite a set of rules for those pictures nowadays… I remember the same episode with Ronja, but at least she stayed relatively put… With Frida, well…..    she didn’t! I’ve got lots of pictures of Frida “on the run”, and I ended up sitting on the floor, holding her with my feet while getting the right shot – thank God for digital cameras… There must be so many parents out there like me, pulling their hair out while trying to get a passport photo of their baby – there’s just nothing easy about it, even if I did have a good laugh…

Frida

This is not it! It was among the ones that wouldn’t do since you’re not allowed to have an open mouth (try telling Frida that!) – but I love it!

I did enjoy the pictures of your bother’s wedding and the other links you posted below. I continue to be awed by modern technology and the way it allows us to be linked.

I did the same thing yesterday. My passport suddenly expired. I went to take pictures, carrying Olivia in my arms, and got stuck under one single rain cloud. The pictures turned out terrible. So I tried all day to take some by myself, but that did not work out very well either.
Frida looks so cute in her picture. You did a great job getting this shot.

What an adorable picture! I can’t imagine how stressful that must have been, but it is worth it to go visit your brother. Have an excellent weekend!

rikki – thanks – and don’t even get me started! I’m a huge fan of modern technology and the opportunities it opens up to! I’m so glad I was born to the age of the internet – with all that comes with it! 🙂

Amy – Yep – you would have laughed even more if you had seen the ridiculous sight… 😉

    Yvonne – thank you! 🙂

Annette – ja, det var bestemt lidt af en prøvelse af den mere grinagtige slags… Jeg ved ikke, hvad de gør med Frida, men hun vil da helt sikkert være vild med at skulle skrive under! 😀

    Jeannine – poor you! Well – afterall it’s just a passport… 😉

Lisa – excactly – anything to go see my soon-to-be new niece! I can’t wait! 🙂

I took Ella to a professional Passport place that does them for $10 when Ella was 3 weeks old because we took her to Copenhagen when she was 6 weeks old 🙂 I NEVER could have taken one myself

Frida is SO beautiful, and I just love this little outfit you’ve made for her.

If you don’t yet have a place to stay in AMS, we *love* to stay at Anne and Miklos’ place: http://www.DestinationAMS.com
